Our Mission
The mission of the Yaak Rod and Gun Club is to encourage organized rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting in a careful and proper manner. We shall promote, establish and maintain by good ethics, our natural environment, and to assist in and encourage the betterment of our fishing, hunting, and conservation programs.Our Focus
To promote our mission one of the clubs focus is to bring new members into the hunting and shooting community. We participate in the NRA’s national program; Women on Target, which teaches women-only classes in handgun shooting.A special focus of the club is to encourage and foster youth participation in both sport and clay shooting. Young people are especially welcome at all of our events!
Events
The club holds competition clay shoots, both trap and skeet, as well as frequent ‘fun shoots’ of both formats from May to October. Hot food and cold beverages are available at every shoot, and cartridges are usually for sale on the day.Please note that all start times are MDST - Mountain Daylight Standard Time.
