The Yaak Rod & Gun Club is proud to sponsor its 2nd Annual “Wings” Youth Shoot! The purpose of the shoot is to raise money for Lincoln County Wings – a cancer patient support organization that provides financial assistance for items not covered by insurance companies to Lincoln County residents who are fighting cancer. We also hope to encourage Lincoln County youth to participate in shooting sports and to promote the safe and responsible use of firearms. This event is open to all Lincoln County youths ages 11 – 15 regardless of their shooting ability or experience, and we encourage new shooters to participate.

Details:

1). Students register to participate and begin getting pledges for each bird they hit during the shoot.

2). On April 19th Yaak Rod and Gun Club will hold a practice shoot, free to all registered participants. This will include closely supervised shooting and safety instruction; trap shooting rules and etiquette, as well as actual shooting practice. This should be a great opportunity to introduce new shooters to the sport of trap shooting and all parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. (Participants must bring a copy of their Hunter Safety Certificate to this shoot)

3). On May 10th each participant will be given the opportunity to shoot at 25 clay birds and their score will be recorded.
4). Students will collect their pledges, turn them in and all monies will be donated to Lincoln County Wings.
